IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and Virginia's special education
law require that all children identified with disabilities
have the right to a free appropriate public education (FAPE).
FAPE may comprise education in regular classes, education in regular classes with the use of related aids and services, or special education and related services in separate classrooms for all or portions of the school day.
Special education means specially designed instruction to meet the unique needs
of a child with a disability.There are five steps in the special education process;
Identification and referral, Evaluation, Determination of eligibility, Development
of an individualized education program (IEP) & determination of services, and Reevaluation.

We can help you at every step of the Special Education Process. An Independent Evaluation plays a significant role
in identifying and diagnosing a disability and determining of eligibility for special education and related services.
Our evaluation provides you with recommendations about your child's particulars strengths and needs that should be considered while developing the child's IEP. We also advocate the special accomodations that should be made for your child to succeed academically.
We are glad to represent you at the MDT / Eligibility meetings, IEP meetings and ensure that the IEP goals are being met and reviwed periodically.
